Locally strong trades today will become more wide-spread between Monday and Tuesday as a new 1027 mb surface high passes north of the islands. Stronger trades with near gales in some of the channels are likely between Thursday and Friday as strong surface high of 1034 mb passes north of the islands. A large northwest swell will arrive Monday and peak Monday evening.
