FZHW50 PHFO 230102 CWFHFO Coastal Waters Forecast National Weather Service Honolulu HI 302 PM HST Sun Feb 22 2026 Hawaiian coastal waters within 40 nautical miles including the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary. 302 PM HST Sun Feb 22 2026 .Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters... A trough stretches from waters north of Maui across Oahu to south of Kauai. The trough will be pushed slowly southward tonight and Monday by a strong surface high north of the islands. Fresh to strong trade winds north of the trough will spread over most waters tonight and Monday, with the strongest winds initially around Kauai and Oahu, and heavy showers and thunderstorms will be possible. Trades will slowly ease Monday night through Wednesday, then shift out of the southeast Thursday or Friday as a front approaches.
