A cold front will bring fresh to strong northerly winds and elevated rough seas around Kauai tonight. The front and its associated winds will steadily weaken as the feature advances to Oahu early Wednesday then stalls over Maui County waters Wednesday night. High pressure will gradually build north of the area Thursday into Friday, bringing moderate easterly trade winds. Another front will approach during the weekend, causing winds to shift out of the southeast and south.
