FZHW50 PHFO 010834 CWFHFO Coastal Waters Forecast National Weather Service Honolulu HI 1034 PM HST Sat Jan 31 2026 Hawaiian coastal waters within 40 nautical miles including the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary. 1034 PM HST Sat Jan 31 2026 .Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters... A surface ridge will drift down the island chain tonight, causing gentle to moderate easterly winds to veer out of the south. Moderate south to southwest winds will become fresh to strong Sunday night and Monday as a front approaches. The front will move down the island chain Monday night and Tuesday. Northwest winds behind the front will diminish and shift out of the east on Wednesday, followed by a return to southerly winds Thursday. Another large northwest swell is due Tuesday and Wednesday.
