At 1 PM, a 1016 mb high was over the Gulf of California and a 1000 mb low was 200 nautical miles west of Pt Conception. Southerly flow will increase into Wednesday as a weak storm system moves into the coastal waters, bringing gusts up to 25 knots and conditions hazardous to small craft this evening through early Wednesday morning as a band of rain moves through. The associated front will shift winds to westerly and weaken by late Wednesday, then become northwest Wednesday night through Thursday. Weaker and variable winds Friday and Saturday.
