At 1 AM, a 1025 mb high was over northern Arizona and a 1005 mb low was 50 nautical miles west of Eureka, CA. Southeasterly to southerly winds peak this this morning, with gusts 20 to 25 knots through early afternoon. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect and contains more information. There is also a chance for thunderstorms over the waters today, best chance in the morning and early afternoon, which would bring strong, gusty winds, lightning, heavy rain with poor visibility, and possible waterspouts. Winds diminish this evening, and weaker south to southwest winds prevail through the weekend.
