FZHW50 PHFO 060126 CWFHFO Coastal Waters Forecast National Weather Service Honolulu HI 326 PM HST Thu Feb 5 2026 Hawaiian coastal waters within 40 nautical miles including the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary. 326 PM HST Thu Feb 5 2026 .Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters... A surface ridge over the islands will maintain gentle to moderate south to southwest winds into Friday. A front will move through Kauai waters Friday afternoon and evening, advance southeastward into the central islands Friday night and Saturday, then stall and dissipate near Maui County over the weekend, which will lead to heavy showers and thunderstorms statewide. Strong high pressure building north of the state will produce fresh to strong trade winds around Kauai and Oahu late Friday and Saturday and near gale to gale force trade winds over most waters Sunday and Monday. Winds are expected to begin a slow decline Tuesday.
